BELOW THE BELT
A film to understand and take action
The Ziwig Foundation is a partner in the distribution in France of the documentary Below the Belt, directed by Shannon Cohn.
Through the journeys of patients seeking a diagnosis, the film highlights the shortcomings of healthcare systems in addressing endometriosis—a disease affecting 1 in 10 women that remains widely under-recognized.
Beyond raising awareness, Below the Belt is an engagement tool designed to shift perspectives, improve understanding, and foster dialogue between patients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers.
The film serves as a starting point to inform, educate, and mobilize around endometriosis through screenings, discussions, and local initiatives.
